2026 Draft: RB Nick Singleton anyone? - StickierBuns - 12-30-2025

It appears we will draft outside the Jeremiah Love zone, so how about Singleton from Penn State? Decent size, very good speed, great hands. Definite 3 down back that could be such a weapon in the pass game as well. Not sure where he'll go in the Draft. Need to pair up a nice RB1 with JJM moving forward.

Right now it looks as though it will be around the 3rd round mark. Didn't have a great Junior season, but the talent is there. Very strong back with plenty of speed. Not as elusive or the vision of a Love type, but he has plenty of tools in the box.

Right now, a center is the main draft priority in my mind...likely followed by CB.

If that RB, or any other quality choice falls to us after those gaps are filled? Excellent.

When I first watched this class, he was the first back to catch my eye. Even more than Love, who I thought ran a little too upright. Love had a fantastic year, so he's clearly the #1 guy now, but I don't think he's quite on Jeanty's level as a prospect.

Singleton has an NFL running style. He gallops like Adrian Peterson. Good size, good speed, can catch the ball. He wasn't as productive as Allen this season, but I think he'll be the better pro.

I don't see us taking a back until day two. I think that's where Singleton goes, along with Jonah Coleman, another guy I really like.

I kind of think we need to get a veteran C, unless Brandel is our center and we're looking for a draft pick to eventually replace him.

I just don't think we want a rookie C paired up with an inexperienced QB.

For me our must gets are a NT and secondary.  A flashy RB is in that second tier of needs for me although I think we're in the place where drafting a RB high isn't stupid like it is for a lot of teams that draft high.  I also trust Flores to get more done with less.

I think RB is a priority this off-season. When we can run the ball well, JJ McCarthy looks like a different QB. Keeps the offense on schedule and takes the pressure off him to have to make every throw.

I don't care where we draft one, but another young runner with some juice is needed.

BFlo doesnt play with the Big Fatties over the Center though...He likes em lean and athletic vs a Jordan Davis type.

I could argue for or against it - and I sure thought our run D suffered w/out Phillips in there this year.

Needs (not in order)
OL
DT
S/CB
RB
TE

I guess thats everything except WR and Kickers lol!

We both love the guy AJ Sr is, but I think it was needed last year TBH...shame on Vikings for not tapping into that rb class depth.

I mentioned this in another thread, but an ILB that can both stop the run & provide pass coverage is a priority given that Cashman is frequently dinged & our ability to stop the run is noticeabley affected when he's not on the field.

My current draft crush is Sonny Styles from OSU. Styles is projected to be drafted in the mid first round, right where we'll be picking.

Watched him numerous times and would love to see him playing here on Sundays!

We do need a young, quick thumper in the middle..

The worthless win streak has now dropped us to the 17th pick...far outside of Jeremiah Love, Caleb Downs, and even Mansoor Delane range. We are now in the mid-round "taking the second or third cornerback off the board" range. Our standard general draft position.

I do concur that we have a long list of needs and whoever we draft, needs to hit. This whole draft needs to hit and it's not comforting knowing who we'll have making those decisions again.
