Post game thoughts - greediron - 11-10-2025 Disappointing game. Started well, but I was stressing by the second quarter.
RE: Post game thoughts - Zanary - 11-10-2025 I just read a blurb from Jones saying that the Ravens were playing a "little game" to get those false starts...I'm not sure what that was, but I'm very curious. I'm concerned for Price, too, because he was money up 'til yesterday. Totally agreed on Nailor. Interesting. Feed me any details on that if you find it. That call on Thielen was absolute crap as well. After Gink got blocked in the back on a crackback last week, it makes it even worse. RE: Post game thoughts - purplefaithful - 11-10-2025 Van Gink is awesome - more so than even Greenard (who I hope is ok) Jalen Redmond is on his way to being the next K Dub You're tip-toeing around 2 elephants in the room Greed I think KOC called a terrible game, especially given where the QB is at. I DID NOT anticipate this ever happening Right now JJM intangibles far outweigh his production Glad you're calling out Jefferson, he's deserved of criticism RE: Post game thoughts - greediron - 11-10-2025 (11-10-2025, 01:36 PM)purplefaithful Wrote: Van Gink is awesome - more so than even Greenard (who I hope is ok) Love Jalen as well. K-will without the draft drama. Greenard is playing well, just can't quite close on the sacks. He has had so many slip out of his grasp. I didn't think it was terrible. JJ was placing the ball pretty well, the almost INT by their LB was a bit behind, but overall JJ was throwing the ball well. One bad decision on the deep INT into double coverage, but that wasn't a play call thing. JJ just stepped up and didn't see the safety. Should have ran that. Our run calls were moving the ball. I just don't see that issue. What was with the announcers tho? On that LB INT that was overturned, ball obviously moved, seemed like an easy reversal. They were saying it wasn't. Didn't get to see a replay of the questionable interference on Harrison either. RE: Post game thoughts - Greylock - 11-10-2025 (11-10-2025, 01:13 PM)greediron Wrote: Disappointing game. You have a disinterested receiver with a rookie quarterback that was off his game and you call that pass play, and by the way I do know football. Why did they sign Mason if they don't trust the offense to convert a 3rd and 1? Run the damn ball and if you don't make it run on 4th down. This fucking team is soft and needs to start knocking the crap out of teams especially at home. Another thing they need to stop the SKOL chant until the team is able to actually play like a professional team at home. Its just stupid to do the chant and then have the team come out and lay an egg. RE: Post game thoughts - Mattyman - 11-10-2025 Purple daily dropped a blistering factoid that accurately depicts where KOC is off. The Vikings had 20 instances where they were in 3rd or 4th down situations .... Total number of running plays in those instance = 0. Zero. Zip. Nada. The poor kid looked like he needed to breath out of a bag that entire 2nd 1/2. I luv KOC, but his affinity to pass is a problem right now. Ok, I'm done RE: Post game thoughts - greediron - 11-10-2025 (11-10-2025, 01:48 PM)Greylock Wrote: I thought it was a shit call. No safety, best WR in football 1 on 1. If you don't take that shot you might as well resign as a play caller. And the could still run on 4th down if they didn't make it. Taking the safe play is soft. RE: Post game thoughts - JR44 - 11-10-2025 I agree with everything in the OP, before the deep pass, I was thinking the same thing as we still had 4th down to go for it if it didn't hit. There were so many things that turned the game, the Price fumble and the Flores defense that refuses to make any kind of adjustments, but with a good QB performance we still win the game. How many more balls have to fly over the heads of wide open WRs before JJ changes his mechanics. On many passes he looks like he is just winding up and throwing as hard as he can. It has been the knock on him and yet he continues to do the same thing over and over again. I was really disappointed in Jefferson yesterday and was beginning to wonder as one ball flew over his head after another if he is just getting really frustrated and defeated, he sees him in practice every day and may be getting tired of not seeing any improvement. I understand the bad reads and decisions are all part of the learning curve, but at this point you need to be able to throw an NFL pass with consistency. He had some beautiful throws and then goes back to throwing darts. |
