Jones Update - purplefaithful - 11-02-2025 RE: Jones Update - JR44 - 11-02-2025 I was surprised what a spark he gave us on offense today, ran the ball with better zip than Mason RE: Jones Update - Montana Tom - 11-02-2025 (11-02-2025, 05:14 PM)JR44 Wrote: I was surprised what a spark he gave us on offense today, ran the ball with better zip than Mason I noticed that myself. In fact, I take back what I said a few weeks ago...He's definitely 1A to Mason's 1B. He's got "burst" that Mason doesn't have. Unfortunately he is older and not big which makes him injury prone. He does have great pain tolerance, so hopefully his AC joint sprain is low grade and he will be able to come back next week. He has a burst that Mason doesn't have. He was great at Green Bay when he and Dillon spelled each other. I think he and Mason could be that same dynamic duo for the Vikes. He is also very good at picking up the blitz. RE: Jones Update - StickierBuns - 11-03-2025 Nice game for AJ and he'll be back this Sunday. RE: Jones Update - JimmyinSD - 11-03-2025 He was fresh, and Mason has been playing all along. I would hope Jones would look better the way the season has gone thus far. RE: Jones Update - MaroonBells - 11-03-2025 Jones is a whole different kind of RB than Mason. I think there will be Jones weeks and there be Mason weeks based on the kind of defense we go against. This was definitely a Jones week. RE: Jones Update - medaille - 11-03-2025 I think it’s more an OLine thing and a freshness thing. He looked like he was running on fresh legs with a lot of open space to navigate through. I do think that in general Jones is ever so slightly faster and more agile, but I think Mason navigates traffic better. During the dark days of the OLine, I trust Mason more to keep moving the ball forward. That said, I think Jones receiving ability really adds an extra threat to the offense. They are a good complimentary duo. RE: Jones Update - greediron - 11-03-2025 His route running makes him a great option as well. Not gonna label him injury prone with that hit. 2 guys on top of him and he landed all on that shoulder.
