Weekly Sunday Observations - StickierBuns - 10-20-2025
Well.....3-3 and in sole possession of last place in the NFCN. And no closer to knowing when JJ McCarthy will be back starting. Fun stuff!
- What a brutal and epic way for the NY Giants to blow that lead and lose to the Broncos. So gross.
- Just go ahead and start your draft boards in Vegas, Miami, NY Jets, Tennessee and New Orleans. Even garbage says these teams are garbage.
- So much for the Chargers being a 'super team' lead by the 'best coach in the NFL'. The media crowned 'em after Week 1. Can't they just be led by a pretty damn good QB and a pretty darn good HC? Colin Cowherd had them in the Superbowl 3 weeks ago.
- The Redskins have come back down to earth....
- Drake Maye is on a nice roll, playing calmly and very effectively. It helps to have the cakiest of the cake schedules but I'm going back my week to week mantra and he's playing excellent for a 2nd year dude recently.
- I'm not seeing it with Caleb Williams. Its a win, even against the Saints, but its so meh with him.
- Green Bay should have lost that game....Jordan Love? Played just ok. Another player to keep an eye on as far as is his arrow going up or not?
- McCaffrey goes off and the 49ers roll.....Atlanta is very much a hot and cold team.
- The NFL just continues to be unpredictable week to week. Parity rules.

Vikings have turned the ball over 89 times since 2022. Tied with Colts and Titans. Only team with more is the Browns (100).

What I have noticed is the Minneapolis dinosaur newspaper brigade has found the universal magic formula to get engagement on Twitter. Sweet relevance once again by appealing to the lowest common denominator. The internet is a changin'.....and not for the better.

JJ isn't even part of the discussion vs anyone in his draft class right now...Not to say he cant/won't get back in it.
But until he proves he can stay on the field, let alone play well? The Vikings are pretty ruderless

Heck of a fourth quarter by the Broncos. I lost my fantasy football game by .54 mainly because my opponent had started Bo Nix over Matthew Stafford.

Vikings have turned the ball over 89 times since 2022. Tied with Colts and Titans. Only team with more is the Browns (100).
That’s the main culprit right there…Hard to win games leading the league with turnovers and penalties.
JJ We need to get a bigger sample size of what he can do. But how long can we wait for him to stay healthy?

And again, there are certain things that can't be coached, but penalties and turnovers can certainly be mitigated through good coaching...so what's the story here? Why are we so routinely sloppy? For all the good things there are about KOC, he and this Vikings team have a lot to prove at this point.

In those 3.5 seasons, we have 1.5 years of Cousins who always had a lot of fumbles. We had 2 years of backup or worse caliber of QB play. We had that stretch of the 2023 season where everyone was fumbling constantly.
