Douche Move or All's Fair in Love and Football? - MaroonBells - 08-28-2025

I don't know about this "unwritten rule" thing but we talked a bit about Willie Lampkin before the draft. AT 5-10, 270 lbs, he would've been, and now is, the smallest offensive linemen in the NFL, probably NFL history, certainly the modern era. Stood out for the Rams all preseason. Now Howie gets him.

Just read the same thing, my take is if you've won some Superbowls like the Eagles have under Howie you can do whatever you want. He looks smart and cool doing either: being a caretaker of unwritten NFL protocol or the guy that says 'pound sand' I'm a genius, the org is successful, so you can kiss my grits. Maverick. Philly style not playing by the rules, the fan base loves it.

The answer should be, "Yes I'll play nice until it serves me not to". It'll only sting when another team does it to him which is the can he's opening here. If he gets burnt in the future he has to understand he did it to himself. If he's fine with that, so be it.

We should have signed him to play FB...

He may think he is pretty suave right now, but we will see how he feels come 3rd game of season when Rams come into town with a little extra for his team.  Definitely will be one non-Viking game I will take an interest in, not that anyone needs any extra motivation to root against them  Smile
