Brian Flores on Vikings CB Jeff Okudah, the former No. 3 overall pick now on his fourth team in four years:
"In his time here, he's been as diligent from on the field, off the field, training room, weight room. He's always looking to do extra film work. I don't know what's happened in other buildings. I know that since he's been here, it's been great to coach him.
I think he's getting better, I think he's getting more comfortable within the defense and what we're gonna ask him to do. And he's shown up positively, really in every way. I'm excited to watch him continue to improve. I think he's got a lot of skill."

I'm not going to count on it. We're his 4th team in 6 years. But if anyone can turn him around, it's Brian Flores. And what a huge coup that would be.

I'm not looking for a complete turnaround, not a transformation to an All Pro: just a decent contributor. Makes the roster and plays 20 snaps a game as part of the defense as a complimentary player. That would be amazing considering his pro background. Helpful to the team at a position of weakness.
Step 1: make the roster. Maybe if he improves incrementally for the next month, that could happen.

That's a really good question. 5-star recruit, played at OSU, unanimous All American, prototypical size at 6-1, 205, ran a 4.48 forty. From what I've read, he also has top-notch character and work ethic. So yeah, wow. Sometimes it just doesn't make sense.
Apparently, he was still recovering from a core injury his rookie season, then blew out his achilles his 2nd year. I'm sure that put him behind the 8-ball. One interesting thing is that despite having bad coverage grades throughout his career, he always graded well as a tackler. He might just be a fit for our mad scientist DC.

Color me skeptical. Is there any evidence that suggests he has more of a chance than Reagor did when he came here? He's getting late in his career to unlock his full potential.

I agree in the not knowing what happened elsewhere, because this team's culture makes its own headlines. Players wanting to be here along with coaches that are worthy of the talent is as big of a deal as the gametime elements.

The team PR department worked overtime writing that up and Flores had to practice for an hour in front of a mirror.

Hopefully he figured it out and Flores gets the best out of him.
