Teddy 'Over Troubled' Bridgewater - StickierBuns - 07-14-2025 Yahoo Sports @YahooSports Teddy Bridgewater suspended from Miami Northwestern for reportedly giving impermissible benefits to his players Eddie Gonzalez @bansky · 53m Nasty story cuz he was just helping kids out and essentially covering all ancillary expenses for the kids on the team (uber rides to practice, catered lunches from local black owned restaurants for the team, physical therapy and “recovery services” and gear) Teddy - god bless him - has already said he’ll just do it from the bleachers if he has to lol RE: Teddy 'Over Troubled' Bridgewater - greediron - 07-14-2025 Was he the coach? That said, the school has to be incredibly careful here too. RE: Teddy 'Over Troubled' Bridgewater - JimmyinSD - 07-14-2025 (07-14-2025, 01:49 PM)greediron Wrote: Was he the coach? RE: Teddy 'Over Troubled' Bridgewater - medaille - 07-14-2025 In general I give him the benefit of the doubt, but is there any evidence one way or the other on if this story is more on "helping poor athletes" or the "using money to recruit better players" end of the spectrum? Miami Northwestern is serving an area of roughly 75% economically disadvantaged people... Florida has open enrollment and that definitely gets used for recruiting athletes to nicer schools in more affluent areas, if Teddy can wrangle some locals to help his kids and chooses to use some of his own money to supplement the effort... good for him and good for his school. if it comes out he is buying gold chains and paying for hookers...well I will likely change my story, but I would really doubt that is the case. What's wrong with gold chains? RE: Teddy 'Over Troubled' Bridgewater - greediron - 07-14-2025 (07-14-2025, 04:26 PM)hogjowlsjohnny Wrote: What's wrong with gold chains? can't eat gold chains. But I agree Jimmy, knowing Teddy's personality from his time in MN, he was probably just helping the kids have some normalcy. RE: Teddy 'Over Troubled' Bridgewater - Canthony - 07-14-2025 That is actually awesome from Teddy. Good for him. If I had to bet, he was seriously just helping out his kids from his own pockets.
