Listening to the talking heads on ESPN radio coming back from the gym this morning and now everything is alright in Chicagoland. They are back, the franchise is in great hands, blah blah blah. Here's what I'll say: what if McCarthy had the season Caleb Williams had last year? Would there be this unbridled manufactured optimism by the media or would they be throwing dirt on JJM's grave already?

Unless there's some transformation into a very successful running team, I think if the Vikings go from 30 passing TDs in 2022 to 30 (with 4 different QBs) to 35, then to 20 (Caleb's TD count), people will have a right to be disappointed.
