Can we just focus on retaining draft picks for awhile lol

RE: Post FA Mock - Vanguard83 - 03-11-2025

^^^^ or at least HIT on the selections we DO have.

Love to find two 1st rounders under the tree. I might switch the DT and the CB, but with two 30+ players at DT it makes sense to add some 1st round youth there.

Great draft, but don't like trading away our 1st and 2nd round picks in 2026.

Would rather we move off 24 and attack, RB, DT, CB on Day 2/early Day 3 where the value is there.

If we're doing this rookie QB contract right, we need draft picks to supplement our roster the next couple years. You typically get 2 years of big FA spending before you need to start budgeting for that second contract (assuming the QB pans out).

My thought is to further close the gap with Philly and Detroit. Lions might be a moot point due to the massive brain drain.

The beauty of the current roster construction is QB and Edge are rookie deals for 4 years. The 2 highest compensated positions. I think we take an unorthodox approach and build short window moves and augment via the draft. Modeling the Rams pre Super Bowl tactics. Not quite fuck them picks but…
