Things To Remember Today - JustInTime - 03-10-2025 Everyone is getting overpaid. Initial contract announcements don’t mean shit until you know the contract structure. If you anticipated Greenard and Ginks being our big signings last year, congratulations you’re 1 of 1. Expect the unexpected. I think we’re in excellent shape not only to grab a couple guys at key positions, but we’ve got free agents at positions likely to garner STUPID money. Would not be surprised that we have multiple comp picks in 26. Even more if BFlo or Jones leave. Today we hopefully open the window. Players not on the media's 'radar' for the team to sign. RE: Things To Remember Today - FourCornersViking - 03-10-2025 Sign a starting caliber interior lineman on both sides of the ball with a corner thrown in, I'd consider free agency a success starting out... RE: Things To Remember Today - Canthony - 03-10-2025 Focus on Fries. At all costs. Whatever he wants, just pay him. Someone I have wanted over Smith from the start. I will consider that a successful FA with just Fries being signed. RE: Things To Remember Today - MaroonBells - 03-10-2025 This is a good point. So I'm curious who people think might be some lesser known, under-the-radar, up and coming players the Vikings might target. DT: Levi Onwuzurike, 27, versatile, can play anywhere on the DL, finally healthy in '24, played well for the Lions CB: Paulson Adebo, 25, on virtually every "secret superstar" list for the Saints; Isaiah Rodgers, 27, 74 coverage grade, 80 in run defense; Jourdan Lewis, 30, older but could be affordable combo with a 1st tier CB IOL: Will Fries, 26, broken fibula early last year should keep his price down. Teven Jenkins, 27, big, consistently good run and pass blocker. Some new toys I'd like to find under the tree tomorrow. DT: Milton Williams CB: Justin Reed, Paulson Adebo IOL: Teven Jenkins RE: Things To Remember Today - purplefaithful - 03-10-2025 I think getting 3 starters at positions of need is setting the bar way too high...Then again, I go into every free agency window with the anticipation of a kid at xmas.. We definitely know to approach cautiously. Never know when a target of ours is going to get scooped up ahead of us. BUT considering we added three starters at positions of need last year on day one with only $17M to spend, I'd say adding three starters with nearly 4 times that amount to spend is not setting the bar too high. I don't think there's any way we come close to what we did last year. So I'm expecting to be underwhelmed. |
