Kind of a fluff piece, but it does give an idea how the top rookie RBs (including Cook) are looking so far this preseason: link

This from running back Jonathan Stewart
sums up what most in the organization think: “I can tell you now
there’s not going to be anybody in this league that can cover him
one-on-one.’’ Everyone, from coach Ron Rivera to middle linebacker
Luke Kuechly, says McCaffrey is “special,” particularly with his first move, which Kuechly calls “shake.”

McCaffrey will be dangerous as a weapon out of the backfield, but I think he's in for a rude awakening on runs up the middle, especially if they try to do that on 1st and 2nd downs. I think everyone's missing the biggest fantasy impact of Christian McCaffrey, and that's Cam Newton. I think Mixon and Cook are up and down based on opportunity. Each will have a smattering of 100 yard games, but also have their share of duds. I think the rookies to own are Kareem Hunt and Leonard Fournette, in that order.

Im really high on Hunt as well. I think he has everything to be really good. He has a great chance to succeed in the position he is in.

I think Mixon will patiently wait his time and take over that situation and not look back.
