Trading him now with depressed value isn't great but if they are not going to pick up his fifth year option (gotta decide by May), then you gotta consider it.

My guess is he'll be back with the Vikings next season for a final hurrah, with no fifth year option exercised. With this fire under his keister he'll likely have a career year and go get paid somewhere, and we'll all say why didn't we pick up his fifth year option. If this happens and he's a big contributor next year I'm good with it.

Addison is a legit good WR.  He’s probably a 1000 yard receiver on several different teams.

I get what you are saying though, but I still think you could say the same for anyone that's got a track record that could get them suspended/injured for some games, and it doesn't ever really seem like it affects things contract-wise.

Before we ran into QB problems in 2025, Addison had 1800 yards and 20 TDs over two seasons. Those are really good numbers. There are probably a dozen teams for whom Addison would be a WR1.
