Zimmer: Diggs, Easton may play in London - Guest - 10-25-2017 If either is healthy, play them. It's the NFL and they get millions for a reason. The Browns are desperate for a win and don't want to flop on an international stage. Any NFL team can beat any other NFL team under the right circumstances. Sitting healthy players makes no sense. They need the reps and team needs them. We'd go to 6-2 and we will need it, with 5 road games to go Zimmer: Diggs, Easton may play in London - Guest - 10-25-2017 I'm going to guess Diggs was deemed healthy enough to play last year too...I'd rather err on the side of caution and let him heal fully before exposing him and the team to another shit show like last year...especially with a winnable game and a bye coming up... Zimmer: Diggs, Easton may play in London - Guest - 10-25-2017 It's an unnecessary risk... Might help the field conditions? Zimmer: Diggs, Easton may play in London - Guest - 10-25-2017 If we were in an NFL stadium with an NFL caliber grounds crew...sure...I just think it's beyond stupid to risk a guy who's been injured as frequently as Diggs...when he's right, he's deadly...we are going to need that the second half of the season, not vs the truly hapless Browns.. But Diggs hasn't practiced fully yet because he's not 100% yet. I think that's reason enough to sit him down against the worst team in the NFL. Especially for a game 4,000 miles away, especially on an unfamiliar surface, especially for a pull injury, (hammy, groin, etc), the kind of injury that can easily be aggravated again if not allowed to fully heal. Zimmer: Diggs, Easton may play in London - Guest - 10-26-2017 I think they activate Teddy for this game and move Sam to IR. Waiting until the last minute just to be sure and keep a competetive advantage. If they wait any longer Sam couldnt come back before the postseason-if he can come back. I dont know that they would start him but I could see them hoping to get him some snaps. IR Sam and give him the chance to return if need be by the playoffs, but we have to get to the playoffs first. Zimmer: Diggs, Easton may play in London - Guest - 10-26-2017 Im kind of torn on this one, groins are a nasty injury in terms of feeling good and then having them pop again. I tore mine really bad many many years ago and can still feel it if I try and run hard without a good stretch first. not sure about the turf at griffendorf or where ever the hell they are playing this week, but I do know that from the games I have watched in the london series in the past that the turf becomes an issue on occassion. I would say dress and activate Diggs and Easton, but only in case of emergency. As far as Teddy.... the only way they should activate him for this game would be is if they are already 100% ready to bring him back next week. If there is still any doubt to his being fit to play the rest of the year lingering... leave him in the locker room for another week of evaluation. |
