RE: How badly do we want to keep Eric Wilson in 26? - supafreak84 - 12-12-2025 It will be interesting to see what happens with Aaron Jones this offseason. He's under contract for next year, but is 31 years old and it looks like the Vikings would save 7.2 million if he's cut. Travis Etienne would be a natural to fill that role and compliment Jordan Mason IMO. Current Status: Playing on his fifth-year option, as the Jaguars picked it up. Free Agency: Becomes a UFA in the 2026 offseason (after the 2025 season). Team Rights: The Jaguars have exclusive rights to negotiate until the legal tampering period in March 2026. Performance: His strong 2025 season increases his leverage for a new deal, either in Jacksonville or on the open market. Rushing: Games Played: 13 Carries: 201 Rushing Yards: 917 Yards Per Carry (YPC): 4.6 Rushing Touchdowns: 7 (Tied-14th in NFL) Longest Rush: 71 yards Receiving: Receptions: 26 Receiving Yards: 181 Receiving Touchdowns: 2 Key Highlights: (Note: Stats are current as of early-mid December 2025 and may update as the season concludes). He was a nice looking prospect in the 23 draft but went undrafted due to a heart condition that has since been deemed fine. Just turned 24 and will be a FA at the end of this year. He has produced whenever given a chance. Hall will get the most money so that probably rules us out. Etienne makes a lot of sense if he comes affordably. The rest are either signed since this was written (Cook, Williams), or not better than Aaron Jones. Hmm. Not sure what changed, but it kind of points to the system, not the player. Similar with Pacheco and Kyren Williams, are they just a product of the system? Not sold on any back out of Seattle in recent years. They all are "special" until they are not. This was an AI list that popped up when I googled 2026 nfl FA RBs. |
