In his first year healthy since being drafted, he caught 28 passes for 400 yards and 6 TDs. Those are WR2 numbers for a lot of teams. He also scores very high in Average Separation Score and Passer Rating When Targeted, which typically means he would do well in a bigger role. If Addison is suspended, it will be Nailor who gets those snaps. He's the biggest reason I'm not overly concerned about it. I think people are looking at his production and forgetting that he has the #1 WR in the league on the field with him, as well as a top 30 WR in Addison, and a top 10 pass catching TE in Hock, as well as a RB out of the back field that typically is a pass catcher, and historically speaking an IOL that doesnt give a QB more than a 2 Mississippi to get rid of the damn ball, so if he is the 4th or 5th read... the QB isnt likely even getting to him as more often than not either JJ or JA are open and if not then Hock is likely in a favorable matchup. RE: 4 Trending Up - StickierBuns - 06-27-2025 3 weeks until training camp, lol....it came fast (that's what she said). Oh the anticipation.... And I don’t think anyone is forgetting Justin Jefferson is on the Vikings ![]() 3 weeks!!!! Or is it 2.5 now…! It seems like a month ago it was 24/7 draft prep. And I don’t think anyone is forgetting Justin Jefferson is on the Vikings he would have a shit load more yards if he wasnt behind JJ and JA IMO, so while he may not be a WR2, he is IMO very unlikely to be cut or traded. And I don’t think anyone is forgetting Justin Jefferson is on the Vikings You're leaving off the TDs. No, his yards were definitely not WR2 worthy. But his 6 TDs definitely were. Like I mentioned before he made the most of his opportunities. That's reflected in his TD%, his 1st down % and his passer rating when targeted. In fact, his 6 TDs ranks 28th among WRs, so now we're in WR1 territory. No I don't think he's a WR1. All I'm saying is that there are some metrics that suggest that if you expanded his role, here or on another team, he would likely respond very well. Getting 400 yards is quite the feat. 6 TDs is a lot for a 3 WR and that in itself makes him a great option at #2 on most teams not named the Vikings and Bengals. If Nailor went to another team, he would get a bigger role and his production in theory should reflect just that. *Disclaimer - Just saw MBs post after I posted mine. What he said lol RE: 4 Trending Up - pattersaur - 06-30-2025 7 career TDs so we should extrapolate that with more targets, he’s a red zone machine! Some of you are sipping too much Kool Aid in my humble opinion. All of the same, “if he had a bigger role” stuff was said about Alexander Mattison and KJ Osborne and many others. I was hype on Nailor’s potential as a late round pick initially but at this point, to me, he’s just another guy on the team. If I’m wrong well I will still be here and we can find out and laugh at me together. Maybe the fact he's nicknamed Speedy but is like our slowest receiver has clouded my judgment. Like saying Tai Felton was drafted to replace Jordan Addison. It's good entertainment, even though it's patently ridiculous. RE: 4 Trending Up - purplefaithful - 06-30-2025 C'mon now! When did hope become something to be ridiculed? It's integral to being a fan isnt it? HOPE is to cherish a desire with anticipation |
