Lol whatever. You got another bag. It is what it is. Good for them for drafting a qb. Thanks Arthur Blank.

He should have asked me... I would have told him that is what they were going to do. Hell I would have charged him half my usual consulting fee if he would have just picked up the phone.

Atlanta did the Vikings a solid, twice,
1. signed cousins
2. drafted penix

We'll see. Penix's injury history (future?) could rear its head again in a single blitz, and Kirko is right back under center. He gave us all we could handle last season, and would be a perfect backup/mentor for JJM IF (great big if) he loses his need for starts and huge checks.

If he took a reasonable backup deal just to finish his career in Minnesota, we'd be fools not to take him back.

"Kirk Cousins felt 'misled' after Falcons drafted Michael Penix Jr."

Yep, that's life in the big city, nothing is guaranteed. You went for the bag and got it, can't look in the rearview now. He says he was hurt and if affected his play....ok....but the organization inserted Penix and haven't looked back. You'd think if they thought his poor play was injury-related only they'd have a competition this year for the starting job. Cousins is a competitor so I'm sure this is a blow to his ego, but they named Penix this year's starter many months ago. My guess is its for a reason.

I still think it was injury related.  But once a team switches to the new thing, it is really hard to go back.

There is no looking back, Kirko.
I like where we are today.

Sooo.. Kirk said he would have turned down $100 mil guaranteed to stay in MN if he'd known the Falcons were taking a QB.

I hope Kirk got quick emergency treatment for those 3rd degree burns after his pants burst into flames.

Or he would have just signed elsewhere...  its not like he only had 2 options.

Kirko had options, but he really wanted one last chapter as a starting QB while the Vikings wanted an infusion of youth plus savings. It's not a new story.

For all the pissing, moaning, and grousing about his contracts, Washington basically taught him that he had to value himself, because even the team he was producing for wouldn't. He learned, he earned.

He won the moneyball part of the game, but seeing the grumbling towards him at 30-40 million when the Herberts, Allens, and similar go soaring towards 60 million...eh...at some point, people need to admit they're b*tching because they want to, not because the reasoning is solid. His last quarters for the team had him top 2 in QB yards/TDs, so it's whack to claim he wasn't living up to the investment.

If/when he gets past the "starting role/pay" mindset, he'd still be an amazing backup for JJM as a mentor and also as a proven, positive locker room presence. I don't know if that'll happen, but it'd be an ideal situation.

So you compare him to Allen? ...Really?
