RE: Who's the next great RB to pair with McCarthy? - MaroonBells - 07-03-2025 Schefter did a piece on new players for each team who have stood out in OTAs (ours was Isaiah Rodgers). Smith was a player a few of us liked. The Vikings brought him in for a visit, but they took TE Bartholomew 26 picks before Smith went to the Chiefs. Kansas City Chiefs RB Brashard Smith Judging from how he was utilized in offseason practices, the Chiefs have plans for Smith , a seventh-round draft pick out of SMU. Smith was a wide receiver in college before moving to running back for his final season, and the Chiefs showcased his versatility by getting him the ball out of the backfield, from the slot and split out wide. Smith ran a 4.39 40 at the combine, so he will fit in with a group of other fast skill players, including Xavier Worthy , Hollywood Brown and Elijah Mitchell . -- Adam Teicher RE: Who's the next great RB to pair with McCarthy? - JimmyinSD - 07-03-2025 (07-03-2025, 09:50 AM)MaroonBells Wrote: Schefter did a piece on new players for each team who have stood out in OTAs (ours was Isaiah Rodgers). Martinez and Smith would have been a phenomenal pairing to bring in. RE: Who's the next great RB to pair with McCarthy? - StickierBuns - 07-05-2025 I think the run game is going to look very good with the Jones/Mason combo for 2025, but I'll be very interested to do a deep dive on the RB position next Spring before the Draft. See who the late climbers are. 2 weeks until TC opens.... There’s 2-3 guys better than Hampton: Love and Singeltary for sure, probably the kid from Oregon too. Depth in the class will come from early day 3 guys like Kaytron Allen and the kid from Minnesota. @MaroonBells I got looking at this class early as the need will be at least moderately high and I wanted his eyes on this class early particularly to get his opinion on Singeltary. Both Coleman and Singleton move laterally so much better than Hampton and Johnson from this year's class. |
