Cart way before the horse scenario possibility: Bradford will be 30 in November.....has a good year this season.....the organization gets a good look at Sloter at practice all season long, gets to know him......really likes him and his potential. Does it make it an easier call to commit to Bradford in the short term and let Sloter 'season' for a year or two behind him? And in that process, you trade Teddy next off-season? Like an Aaron Rodgers scenario behind Favre? Because Sloter needs time to develop, for sure.

Crazy early for this kind of forecast, I get that. But I'm just sayin'......its a possible scenario. Because its either Teddy or Sam next season, one is leaving in 2018. And it would take a physically talented dude with a big arm like Sloter to mitigate a Bridgewater trade with the fanbase, IMO....a QB with big upside in the pipeline. I mean, look how silly we are basically being in this thread over the guy, lmao. My point is its normal for fans to get all hot and bothered over the physical attributes.

Reminds me of Jay Schroeder a bit - loads of physical talent, barely played in college, had been in the minor leagues (baseball). He was worth the gamble. That said, there are tons of gambles that never pay off.

You do have to wonder what made Sloter that much less respected than Mitch Trubisky, who didn't play that much more. Sometimes I think whether a prospect was considered a great recruit out of high school sticks with them and pads the impression NFL scouts have.

Slow-ter
Slow-ter
Slow-ter

... I thought it was SLOT-er

Check out 2:17 in that Broncos package. Rolls left, slows down, contorts his upper body to square up a throw and he tosses a friggin' DIME 40 yards down the field (30ish yard completion 8 yards behind the line of scrimmage).

Incredible prospect; it'll be a lot of fun watching him develop in Purple for a while.

Get Sloter on this blueprint:

That's one of the things that reminds me so much of Kaepernick. That ability to roll left and throw with accuracy and mustard with his right hand.

It reminded me of Christian Ponder. That ability to not do that. Tongue

There are a lot of QBs that get in that position and are just screwed by the laws of physics. I replayed Sloter's motion there a couple times in awe - it almost looks painful. Next, the ball looks like it's shot out of a cannon. I had to recount the yardage a couple times because the WR/target underneath seems like a natural place for that type of throw to go. Nah... 15 more yards later... there's another WR between two defenders. And it looked easy!

I'm impressed with his throwing. Can he put together a playbook and a little QB ability (not stare down his WRs, pocket presence, etc...) in a few weeks/one or two seasons? The guy definitely has the athletic ability.
