Allen and hargrave received 44ish million guaranteed last year.....

And their departure leaves 27 million dead money.

A shitty front office is what causes cap hell, not shitty players.

It's rumored on Twitter right now that both the Allen and Hargrave contracts with the Vikings included offset language, which would mean that whatever guarantees they get on their new contracts would eliminate exactly that much from what the Vikings owe them.

I have my doubts that is true,  any monies paid up front,  but spread over the next 2 years would still count against the cap and wouldnt be recovered by him signing a new deal.  I think the only thing they would recover cap wise is any unpaid guaranteed money that is salary related.
