Vikings traded 4th and 5th-round picks to the Panthers for Thielen and a 5th-round pick just before the season. After just eight catches all season, Thielen now appears to be a healthy scratch.

the entire receiver room seems to have lost focus this year, I know we have crowned Mccardell in the past around here, but what in the exact fuck is going on over there, I dont think there are any of the veterans that havent had drops that are just plain inexcusable for experienced players at this level.

This was a terrible trade at the time that looks even worse now. Love Thielen. Great player. Doesn't fit and isn't necessary on this team, even when Addison was serving his lengthy suspension /s.

there were plenty of non football front office guys that said as much at the time.

That personnel group has disappointed greatly...They're obviously checked-out with nobody able to get the ball past 5 yards with any accuracy.
This is the fault of the coaching staff - but not who you think. It's KOC's responsibility to read his players abilities well, and they blew it at the QB position - badly.
Rogers/Darnold/Jones and they went with JJM...They are getting skewered in the media for that really bad decision.
Now McCown was here last year coaching-up Darnold for his renaissance. He's also here when JJM wasn't ready to go, so is he part of the problem or a solver?
We'd only be guessing on him this am.
