McGlothern has played in less than 1/2 of 1% of all defensive snaps. He was a bottom-roster cut, likely to make room for Kelly. Plus he was a UDFA. It’s pretty obvious to me that the Vikings liked Moreau and Vaughn and the two corners they brought in this Fall (Bartholomew and Funderburk) a little more than him. It happens. I am not wildly upset. Just thought it odd to deplete our DB corps further. But as I posted in the OP, he hasn't played much for sure. RE: McGlothern waived - badgervike - 11-22-2025 Signed back to PS and elevated for game tomorrow RE: McGlothern waived - comet52 - 11-22-2025 (11-22-2025, 05:52 PM)badgervike Wrote: Signed back to PS and elevated for game tomorrow Some spicy takes in here about a guy with a career snap count of 50. Did we miss him while he was gone? They released Cam Akers too which makes me wonder, how does a team replace a guy like Cam Akers? Simple - just re-sign Cam Akers! It is not the player, but the lack of depth at the position, the fact that they not only resigned him to the PS, but then he is active for tomorrow is completely bizarre that they released him. Isn't there some limitation on the number of times a player can be activated from the PS? Maybe waiving him and resigning restarts that clock? Perhaps sending him a signal to get with the program. Or just another bizarre front office move. |
