First and second year players can be impactful starters and better players than a lot of older veterans. Happens every year Forgot Metellus. So 3 for 15, which is actually a very good draft by NFL standards. RE: Wes Phillips: 'You feel Brandel's size in there at center' - Vikergirl - 11-01-2025 I think they need to look at moving on from Chris Kuper RE: Wes Phillips: 'You feel Brandel's size in there at center' - hogjowlsjohnny - 11-01-2025 Interesting thread. Brandel sucks and Mattelus can't cover. Niether can Murphy; and sadly several other players on the team can't measure up. The Vikings are screwed depending on players like this. It's an ongoing problem for the Vikings and other Minnesota professional sports teams, they have some great players, but not enough good players to be championship contenders. The Vikings get a team that has the talent to win about every 10 years. They are overdue and this isn't going to be that year. RE: Wes Phillips: 'You feel Brandel's size in there at center' - StickierBuns - 11-02-2025 Going to need a very solid outing by the O-line and some smart play calling to stay in this one. Fingers crossed but I'm way short of optimism for this game. Love ya, Johnny Hog, but this is the kind of thing that amuses me about Viking fans. Josh Metellus and Byron Murphy aren't just playing off their standards. It's that they suck, they've always sucked, will always suck, and by the way, all Minnesota professional sports teams suck!

But when I look at regressions of OL players here and up arrow performances for those that left? Kuper has always been a suspect positional coach imo and this year doesnt help his cause. So I guess I am advocating for New COO (bye Miller) New GM (bye KAM) Refresh KOC positional coaches Revamp Scouting minus Grigson LOL! Must have fell prey to a brief moment of pessimism! Happens when teams start losing I guess.
