I don't really care about that stuff. I think it's to some extent just p.r. which they are very invested in - they love to sell their alleged goodness. The team is betting big on it. I still trust KO and think he's a great coach who's been dealt a bad hand this season-- some of it by his own making for sure. I saw Mike Zimmer teams constantly wilt in situations like this. I am interested to see what this team does but the season is far from over. If KO says McCarthy is the guy, that's still enough for me to believe he's the guy. RE: Post-game thoughts vs Chargers - JimmyinSD - 10-25-2025 I think i said last year we weren't as good as our record and I think this year kind of proves it out, we get a tougher schedule and look like a completely different team when we should be statistically better personnel wise. This years bunch, and some of last years, have been disappointing, to say the least. Also Darnold was really good in retrospect, despite the end of the year meltdowns. There is also no doubt those meltdowns came with the O-lines collapsing as well. I would have never thought this years team would be worse, but they are! Sad thing is we haven't even had a tougher schedule. It's actually been pretty cake to date. IIRC, as of a couple weeks ago, we had the 5 hardest schedule of the year thus far, and have the hardest remaining schedule. This years bunch, and some of last years, have been disappointing, to say the least. Yup, this years free agents are turning out to be duds for the most part. Last years schedule was way easier, including the putrid AFC South. It's hard to find a win right now among the games we have left. The injury luck was great outside of Darrissaw and a few games without Cashman. This year it's regressed hard. We were getting turnovers galore, but those aren't repeatable and have regressed hard. Darnold got away with so many bad throws that had me cringing all year, until those last two games. Carson Wentz is just proof that the QB whisperer myth is just that. I have lot of problems with KOC but not going to digress about that now. Add the bad drafting year after year and it all adds up to surprise! You're not what you thought you were, Minnesota Vikings. And you might be in for some lean years if JJM doesn't work out quick. |
