there's usually a couple talented non-turd players that become available and me thinks the Vikings will be a preferred destination. (if there's a fit).
a trade and signing a "surprise" cut player makes sense to me.

We’ve had enough “vets who sign and then immediately get hurt” players lately I think. Much prefer Powell to Chark. I’d take him over KJ too probably but that’s closer.
If this was my team, I’d either make a trade and aim high enough to replace Nailor, or go cheap and bring in Powell. Giving a guy like KJ a one year deal for a few mil just seems like a waste of money when we have so many other playmakers on the team. Maybe I’m still hoping for a Hockenson that might never show up, or an Aaron Jones from 5 years ago, but I feel like we have enough talent to weather Addison missing 3 games. If Jefferson is going to be out too that’s a different story and at that point I would be looking to trade or sign someone to make instant impact.

given that its likely a short term band aid player coming in after week 1 ( so they arent on the roster and have a guaranteed contract) I think Powell or KJ make the most sense as they both already are somewhat familiar with the offense and would be in a better position to make an immediate impact if called upon. The others would likely just be getting up to speed when Addison gets back so not really as much of a help to get young JJM off to a good start.

IF the Vikings add in the WR room, KJ Osborn is the obvious choice.
1. Need someone to contribute IMMEDIATELY during Addison suspension.
2. Reliable hands, don't disturb the team culture.
-Osborn put up 108-1190-8 over 2 seasons in the KOC offense.
-Still tight with Jefferson
-Could be out with Commies as Scary Terry approaches deal
He would be my choice if he's released. I would settle for Powell if not. I don't want to see them spend any draft capital on a 3 game rental!

I guess I’m still not a believer that we need to seek out a short term fill in guy. I’m not really buying into the narrative that JJ and Nailor’s injuries are serious enough to warrant concern. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us pick up a long term contributor because of Moore’s injury and Jackson/Felton not showing up as much as they hoped.
