RE: Vikings training camp highlights - StickierBuns - 07-24-2025 The Purple Persuasion @TPPSkol · 19m Updates on some key members of the Vikings OL... "Days, not weeks" on Will Fries return "Now I think its legit, we can have the conversation, Week 1 September 8th, Christian Darrisaw LT at Soldier Field against the Bears." Big updates from Doogie. The Purple Persuasion @TPPSkol · 3h . @alec_lewis talks about how @Vikings OLB Dallas Turner looks "bigger" from a strength and size perspective. I don't want to put him out there until he is 100. Sounds like his rehab is going perfect and hasn't had a setback. I want him out there week one, but I can't help but be precautious with one of the best LTs in the game. I think the organization agrees and shares your concerns, but the truth looks to be he's ready. I can't imagine in any universe the Vikings would rush Darrisaw into anything. This is really great news if this turns out to be accurate. RE: Vikings training camp highlights - NorseFeathers - 07-24-2025 "While Darrisaw will ease back in a little slower, Fries is nearly ready for full-go. O’Connell explained Fries has been fully cleared medically; now, it’s just ‘a matter of ramping him up football-wise’ as a newcomer to Minnesota’s offensive system. Positive news for the timetables of Darrisaw and Fries has an impact on the Vikings entire team — and certainly on J.J. McCarthy, who’s readying for his first season as Minnesota’s starting quarterback.” https://vikingsterritory.com/2025/news/top_news/vikings-training-camp-injury-twist RE: Vikings training camp highlights - StickierBuns - 07-25-2025 I also love they've just plugged in Donovan Jackson in as the starting LG right from the jump. Why do a silly for-show 'camp competition' when you know damn well Jackson is going to be the starter? Get him in and get him reps so he's as ready as he can be for Game 1. Fries will be in at RG in a few days and boom, lets rock. He's going to need every rep he can get. RE: Vikings training camp highlights - MaroonBells - 07-25-2025 Albert Breer's five takeaways from Vikings training camp. JJ, Nailor, IOL, Rodgers and Turner RE: Vikings training camp highlights - StickierBuns - 07-27-2025 Day off today (Sunday), full pads tomorrow and back to camp. There's a throw out there in the Twitterverse where McCarthy throws a laser completion right on Jeshaun Jones hands in the middle of the field through traffic. Its very Josh Allen-esque. Ill try and find it, but wow what an arm when he cuts it lose. RE: Vikings training camp highlights - Montana Tom - 07-27-2025 (07-25-2025, 08:13 AM)MaroonBells Wrote: Agree. The part about "camp competition" is bogus, in that I agree. Annoint him as starting LG, fine. But to mix in backups taking snaps with the first team is just smart...I don't need to remind you that injuries happen. Whether it is Brandel or anyone else at backup (Brandel is a very capable backup), it's good to have them get in the mix...just in case. I'm just saying I don't want Jackson taking reps at a different position. For example, they might've been tempted to move Jackson to RG while Fries was out, keeping Brandel where he played last year. |
