RE: OT: Drunkest Counties - MaroonBells - 03-27-2025 More info on this... _____ While Wisconsin is the booziest state in America, the booziest county designation belongs to an area in Montana. Using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's categorization of excessive drinking and data from County Health Rankings And Roadmaps, IntoxiStates.com created an interactive map showing a county-wide breakdown of American drinking habits. America's booziest county is Gallatin County in Montana, where over a quarter (26.8 percent) of residents are excessive drinkers. _____ Seems a little odd to me. This is Gallatan County. It's a stone's throw from where River Runs Through it was Filmed. I don't know what a drunk county looks like but this isn't what I would think of. Unless it's all about the college kids in Bozeman. ![]() RE: OT: Drunkest Counties - Zanary - 03-27-2025 Damn...I'm gonna have to up my imbibing to get King County, WA, into contention. I'll do my level damnedest! RE: OT: Drunkest Counties - StickierBuns - 03-28-2025 (03-27-2025, 05:06 PM)MaroonBells Wrote: More info on this... Yeah, I don't think how beautiful the geography is has much to do with alcohol consumption. My guess is they've compared alcohol sales vs county population to get these numbers, so if you have 15 hardcore alcoholics in a small county, those numbers will be skewed, lol. You see that one green county in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan? That is one of the least populated, most stunning counties geographically in the country. |
