Why didn't they call for a timeout to avoid the delay of game? I understand there was probably some confusion on the play clock and the ref wasn't letting McCarthy under center, but if the clock is that close, take the timeout and keep it at the 1 yd line? That was a weird one for sure...

Pick looked more like Nailor’s fault than JJM’s. DB went for the catch while Speedy waited for the ball.
