Roster cut tracker (Cut down day!) - Montana Tom - 08-26-2025
As of @ Noon Tuesday, I show the roster at 71 assuming the following cuts have been recorded this morning:
Michael Gonzalez
Gabe Murphy
Ambry Thomas
Xazavian Valladay
Zemiah Vaughn
18 more to go today.

The #Vikings have “not made much progress” for a potential trade for #Panthers WR Adam Thielen, and it’s looking like it “won’t happen,” per @AdamSchefter
Schefter mentioned KJ Osborn being a potential pivot option for Minnesota.

Things I don't want to hear from my young QB: Drake Maye has acknowledged being too "amped up" to begin games, and the Patriots QB has a plan to get over those first quarter jitters.

Undrafted rookie outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss is expected to be part of the #Vikings 53-man roster, sources tell @CBSSports.
In college, was a two-year starter at Georgia. Tied for the team lead in sacks last year with 6.5.

Looks like 3 UDFA's made the roster. Surprisingly 1 is not Gabe Murphy
Brosmer QB (massive find could be backup QB in a year)

Chaz Chambliss LB/DE (beat out Murphy)
That is a very good turn out. If Brosmer becomes a backup QB could be as good or even a better find than Ivan Pace. We keep finding diamonds in the UDFA's.

I think I've identified the last 15 cuts...we'll see what my batting average is when the rest roll in this afternoon.

Looks like Elijah Williams also made it to the 53....that's 5 UDFAs. Not as big a story as normal in that we didn't have a lot of draft picks.
