Rashawn Slater is leaving practice on a medical cart. He went down during a team period.

With all this "carted off" nonsense lately on Twitter... This actually doesn't sound good.

Reports are he was visibly frustrated (threw a helmet and slammed his hand on the cart) and teammates were hugging him. Two trainers needed to help him inside the facility.

Damn, this one sounds bad.

Torn patellar tendon, out for the season.

Shit. Just awful.

I watched 10 minutes of preseason football last night and what a shit show. Missed assignments galore. Anthony Richardson was injured because an O-lineman whiffed his assignment. Its such a jail break cluster out there for most of these games. So many starters not playing. How you glean any useful information as a coach is beyond me.

This is a big blow to the Charger's O-line, just like Darrisaw was last year. Cam Robinson had one decent game for Minnesota, his first one, then he sucked eggs the rest of the time.

The Slater news is awful...

I dont think (in the case of KOC at least) they rely on pre-season too much for starter assessment. I recall reading he places heaviest emphasis on these intrasquad scrimmages (i.e. Pats this year).

I bet we dont see JJM or the starters much if at all after Saturday - till that MNF game.

As much as I want to see JJ tomorrow.....part of me doesn't. All I'm going to be focusing on when he's in there is 'don't get injured'. You read the NFL injury news this morning with what, 2 or 3 games played last night, and already with the major injuries. A game of attrition.

Looks like the Eagles lost starting OG Landon Dickerson.
