I keep reading 'Superbowl roster' from analysts and some members of the board for the Vikings this year. Improved roster? Yes. Shored up some weak spots? Definitely. Loved this offseason, moving in the right direction. But raise your hand if you can see Minnesota beating Detroit, the Rams or Philly.....because I can't. How can the #4 seed in the NFC be considered a Superbowl team? I think its a legit question.

JJM has lost like, one game since high school. He is not just a QB but a magical being who transcends the mundane world of football. He will bless us all with trophies as he proves to be an unstoppable NFL winning machine.

If the proposed improvements to the trenches pan-out? Along with JJM?
I think we can hang with anyone in the league.

I think JJM has to have a Jayden Daniels type year and the offense needs to be one of the best in the league. Do not think we will be anywhere close to a SB defense, so offense will need to carry team.

Until Darrisaw and Fries are completely healthy and the offensive line play together as a unit at a high level...I'm going to remain leery of this upcoming season. Also, I'm not completely sold on the secondary either...

The only true, cathartic and most healing redemption for fans and the Vikings winning a Superbowl can only be a 52 yard FG by Will the Thrill. It has to be on the kicker, our greatest anti-hero. It is not reasonable to call a team starting a rookie QB (essentially) a Super Bowl contender. That said, you never know... Detroit has two new coordinators and lost key contributors. Philly lost some of its defensive punch. Matthew Stafford is old. Anyone can take a major step backwards with a key injury or two or three, so you never know.
The AFC looks like juggernaut to me. On paper, I think Baltimore is the most talented team in the league. Buffalo just needs a little more from the receiving corps. KC is always in the mix with Mahomes. Cincy may have the best offense in the league. One step below those teams and ascending are the Chargers under Harbaugh and the Broncos.

Magic happens quick. So I won't rule it out, but who saw the greatest show on turf coming or Tom Brady going on a tear. I do think it could take some time for McCarthy to really start succeeding but the Vikings have a lot of pieces in place to be very very good. Superbowl good, yeah they have a chance. They were 14-3 with a flawed QB and a much weaker offensive line and defensive line than we have now. Its not my base case but I would say they have a 5-7% chance of winning it.
