Excellent physical traits: 6'4"+, 220 lbs. 4.6 forty. Big arm. I like this very much as a developmental QB. Wiry strong kid, could settle in at 230 lbs. with NFL strength program. Upside so much better than Heinicke. A 'gamer'. Needs more experience playing under center, which he'll get. Vikings obviously super high on him as they paid him almost 3 times the going rate for a practice squad guy.
Vikings said they watched every one of his preseason throws and college throws.

Sloter's preseason numbers: 31-of-43 for 413 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, 125.4 rating.
As we know, preseason and regular season are two completely different animals, but still a nice stat line.

People here in Denver are pissed, and I love it! I was saying for the last 2 weeks, you better not get cute and cut him with all the tape he's put out this preseason and think he will cruise right to your PS.

Vikings went hard and opened the check book. I was surprised, but thought they were obviously high on the kid. Should be fun to watch his development next offseason.
Question - is he on the 53 or practice squad? PS means he can be signed by another team correct?
