A Walgreen's shift employee vs a horrid CEO that oversaw programs to deny coverage/procedures to millions of customers might be the PERFECT example of false equivalence.
Amazing how people can justify cold blooded murder. But I’m sure there will be supporters on this site since they love them some Luigi.

from right field here as I have not kept up on this saga since it was fresh in the news so I apologize in advance if there has been some revelations I am not aware of...

its not about Luigi,  its about we reap what we sow, and by many accounts the victim was less than a boy scout, so while I dont condone Luigis actions,  I certainly understand people getting fed up with corporate greed and exacting revenge for their perceived losses when society fails to demand justice for their losses.

I hope you don’t have to deal with someone who’s close to you with some “flaws” being shot in the back by someone they’ve never met.

Thanks, me too,  but much like my uncles that I have lost that were Vietnam veterans, who smoked their entire lives and then blame their lung problems on agent orange exposure, we sometimes become victims of our own decisions and actions,  like me... if I have a heart attack or stroke,  its not going to be anybody else's fault but my own.  I dont doubt that your friends brother had good aspects, but the family is often the last to see the evils in their loved ones.  I am not his judge or jury,  his guilt is not mine to judge anymore than the shooters, but from a distance I can also empathize with the families that have lost loved ones due to corporate greed and shitty business practices.

It isn’t an either or proposition.  You can empathize with people without voicing support for 1st degree murder from a dumb ass arrogant kid.  I kinda think it’s funny that some of the dumb people on the site who made a mockery of it have lifelong diseases to deal with.  That’s karma.  If I really believed that, I’d be as bad as they are.  I don’t, but it’s an apt comparison.

I'll make sure to light my Saint Luigi votive candle today.

I empathize with the families loss,  but for the individual... like I said,  we reap what we sow,  I dont condone the actions, but I am not surprised when somebody takes action.

EDIT: as far as those with life long diseases, perhaps their lack of empathy stem from having to deal with crooked ass insurance/drug companies that are raking in billions while those that pay for and need their services are struggling to keep up with the rising costs?

Or
Maybe karma played a roll and they get to foam at the mouth for the rest of their lives.  Hard to feel sorry for people sometimes.
