Why has Turner only played a handful of snaps last 2 games
Why did Chandler not play last week
Why does Darnold hold on to the ball so long. (No check downs)
How did the Rams neutralize Flo's D
How come Addison is not apart of the game plan.
I'm still pissed about the loss.

I think he's just too young and inexperienced and there are very good players ahead of him. I think as the season wears on he'll get more and more snaps in rotation, but he's probably not going to start until next year.
Why did Chandler not play last week
Because Aaron Jones is better and we were in a tight game.
Why does Darnold hold on to the ball so long. (No check downs)
Because he goes thru his progressions. I think he's trying to run KOC's full offense and give his downfield receivers a chance, which runs counter to his reputation as a ghost-seeing, dump-off QB. This is a good thing....to a point.
How did the Rams neutralize Flo's D
Stafford is not fooled by disguise. Flo's defense isn't as effective against experienced QBs. They did some max protect too. But even when they didn't we couldn't break through much. A concern for sure. I think also because with Puka and Kupp playing, we dropped more into coverage. Stafford still found the open receivers. Also a concern.
How come Addison is not apart of the game plan.
I think it's mostly due to game script. He'll have his games, but Jefferson is a target hog and should be. In the last 3 games, Jefferson has been targeted 31 times. Over the same period, Addison was targeted 15 times. That's not going to change much. It might actually drop with TJH back.
I'm still pissed about the loss.
So we're not going 16-1. You can't win 'em all and a fully healthy Rams teams is as good as anybody. Unfortunately, I think the Colts are better than people think too, so a W against them would be huge.
FWIW, see my answers above....
Turner should see more snaps as the rotational guys behind Greenard/Ginkel become less effective. Its already starting to happen unfortunately, they are not getting the pressure they did earlier.
And as MB points-out, he's in-experienced to play this scheme as an Edge. It requires a lot of in-game adjustments, on the fly based on what they are seeing the offense do - and he's not there mentally yet.
I suspect all that mental processing he's having to do is slowing him down...Thats a big deal for someone who (especially early) relies on explosion as their super-power vs having a bag of trick moves to beat OT's.
I think Chandler may see even less snaps w/out Darrisaw. They may need Jones protecting more than ever - same with the TE's...

The above articles has some snap count information, just for reference.
There was 72 snaps last week. Of the LBs it breaks down like:
• 72 - Pace
• 72 - Van Ginkel
• 65 - Greenard
• 44 - Jones II
• 11 - Ward
• 6 - Grugier-Hill
• 3 - Turner
You have your 3 starting LBs playing almost all the snaps. Then Jones II playing a bunch (probably at ILB to replace Cashman?). Then everyone else with like a handful of snaps.
I think the problem is with who gets taken off the field and what role are they playing. Like you probably look at it like he should replace some of Jones II’s portion of snaps, but in Flores’s scheme, has he gotten that much time at ILB? The next most natural thing would be for him to spell Greenard, as you can just put him in and tell him to go get QB more often, but that takes your best pass rusher off the field. Do you put him in at 3-4 DE even though he’s undersized for that role?
Why has Turner only played a handful of snaps last 2 games - By some of the bonehead decisions he has made on special teams, may not have a high football IQ, he looks smallish and lost
Why does Darnold hold on to the ball so long. (No check downs) - 4th team in 7 years, probably always has
How did the Rams neutralize Flo's D - Flores has been putting lipstick on a pig, just not enough legit talent there
How come Addison is not apart of the game plan - He looks like he has taken himself out, ran the wrong route to cost a game, looks disinterested
Why does Darnold hold the ball so long? This is KOC’s scheme. Every year, we ask why does the QB hold the ball so long. It’s because KOC generally has longer plays for more chunk yards. I do think we would generally benefit from having a quick passing scheme built into our offense, so that when we’re struggling with our base offense, it’s something we could pivot to. It’s probably something that both JJ and Addison would be good at.
Why is Addison not part of the gameplan? This is also part of KOC’s scheme. We can go back to Thielen’s year here. We asked why he wasn’t performing like he used to, then he went to Carolina who sucks, but he had a 1000 yard season. KOC’s scheme is designed around getting the best looks for his best player. The second receiver is always going to be in a more supporting role in KOC’s offense. His route will be often be more in making JJ more open and often that will be how he contributes.
You know, there is a story out there that is pretty famous by now re: JJ
He calls KOC after he was hired and asked him how the hell he schemed Kupp open all the time? His answer was that Cooper learned every WR position on the field.
That's now part of JJ's super-power. I dont know if Addison has put the work in to do the same or not?
I dont expect an exponential increase in his touches with TJH back, will he be ok with that?

As someone who's been scratching my head at Addison's lack of recent not only production, but impact, you make a great point about Thielen's last year here. I hadn't really connected that dot but you're right, it may be just that WR2 production isn't a priority for KO.
Get Jets the ball and often is job 1 - just like the Moss years.
24 YTD, JJ has amassed the fewest yards and catches since his rook season.
