...except that you're wrong, the types of items and ammunition available are being limited and punitively taxed in many locations.said:
The single utility to society is only one thing, projecting dense objects at high velocities distances beyond personal control. Legal owners don't have anything to worry about, just be responsible for who you pass it on to, or the consequences of your actions. Liability for your products and your actions should definitely be on the table.said:
But, the vast majority of firearm use, among legit owners, is target shooting...and I suppose there could be clauses regarding types of ranges, etc etc etc. That said, here's the ongoing facts:said:
That's a false equivalency, alcohols purpose in society is not to be a weapon and be used means of defense or offense.said:
I go along with the red tag designations as well as shared data bases for law enforcement... no reason the data base isnt already open.said:
Shared database between jurisdictions for mandatory background checks. End liability protections, for manufactures, sellers and owners. FastTrack red flag designations so something common sense can be done without having to so much red tape.said:
Aren't most of these folk "legal " gun owners, until the bullet makes hole in someone. There just may be an issue on who is considered "legal" or why are you "legal". More guns in folks hands just ain't working to well.
So how do you suggest we fix it?
as far as liablility protections... not sure on that one. should budweiser get sued every time somebody has to much to drink and kills people? the distributor? or even the person that sold the budweiser? if they are breaking the law then they already dont have protection, but they should have to defend themselves every time somebody is injured by their products because some lawyer is looking for a quick pay day.
The red tag designation as long as there is a clear and expedient way for those tagged to prove their competency, and this doesnt just become another tool by the anti gun crowd to take the guns away from those that are not a threat.
1. We've had what the media and political bobbleheads call "assault weapons" for generations before mass shootings were anything like common.
2. Legal gun owners commit a tiny percentage of gun crimes...
3. ...but, gun laws tend to punish/restrict them far more than criminals. Optics and BS.
4. I've still yet to hear about any handgun or rifle that selects, packs, rings up, transports, loads, chambers, aims, and fires itself...so the "GUNS TAKE LIVES" crowd remains woefully ignorant and utterly incorrect.
5. The same spineless dnc that works to vilify the AR-15 is simultaneously defunding police departments and trying to outlaw popular firearm types...so, law-abiding citizens are having their defensive options limited and police responses worsened in the name of "safety". Even someone with a full-Crayola diet has to see this as insane.
We are having laws made to punish us, under the guise of "safety" and somehow punishing the very people that already don't show interest in laws.
So, please quit saying "nothing to worry about", it's gone far past that. You...are incorrect. Whether that's due to ignorance or dishonesty, I'm uncertain.
